Mina Shares Her Red Apples

Mina Shares Her Red Apples
Mina has a basket. In the basket are four red apples.
One, two, three, four. Crunch, crunch, yum!

Mina sits on the bench in the park. Her friend Zaki comes by. Zaki looks at the apples. His tummy goes rumble, rumble.
"I am hungry," says Zaki in a small voice.

Mina looks at her basket. She wants all four apples. Four apples are a lot of apples.
Then she looks at Zaki. Zaki looks sad.

Mina picks one red apple. "Here, Zaki. This one is for you."
Zaki smiles a big smile. "Thank you, Mina!"
Crunch, crunch, yum!

Then little Rima comes by with her mum. Rima looks at the apples too.
Mina picks one more red apple. "Here, Rima. This one is for you."
Crunch, crunch, yum!

Now Mina has two apples. She gives one to Rima's mum.
Now Mina has one apple. One apple is just right for Mina.

They all sit on the bench together. Crunch, crunch, yum!
Mina laughs. "Apples taste better with friends," she says.
And they really, really do.
