Bilal's Toys Go Home

Bilal's Toys Go Home
Bilal plays all day. Blocks on the rug. Cars on the bed. A ball under the chair. A teddy on the window.
It is almost bedtime.

"Bilal, time to tidy up," says Mum.
"Oh no," says Bilal. "It is too much!"

Mum smiles. "Every toy has a home. Let us help them go home."

Bilal picks up a red car. "Where is your home, car?"
The car goes in the car box. Vroom, vroom, home!

Bilal picks up the blocks. One, two, three... ten blocks.
The blocks go in the block box. Clack, clack, home!

Bilal finds the ball under the chair.
The ball goes in the basket. Bounce, bounce, home!

Last is the teddy. Teddy goes on the pillow. Hug, hug, home!

Bilal looks around. The rug is clean. The bed is clean. The floor is clean.
"I did it!" says Bilal. "It was not too much. It was just one toy at a time."

Mum gives him a kiss. "Now you can find your toys tomorrow."
Bilal climbs into bed next to Teddy.
"Goodnight, cars. Goodnight, blocks. Goodnight, ball."
Everyone is home. Everyone is sleepy.
Goodnight, Bilal.
