Moro the Turtle Waits for the Flower

Moro the Turtle Waits for the Flower
Moro is a little green turtle. One morning, Moro plants a seed.
Pat, pat, pat. Into the soil it goes.
"Grow, seed, grow!" says Moro.

Moro looks at the soil. Nothing.
"Grow faster, seed!" says Moro. Nothing.

Moro wants to dig it up and look. But Old Snail says, "Wait, Moro. Seeds need time."
"How much time?" asks Moro.
"Water it. Give it sun. Then wait, wait, wait."

So every morning, Moro brings water. Drip, drip, drip.
Every day, the sun shines. Shine, shine, shine.
And Moro waits. Wait, wait, wait.

On day three, Moro sees a tiny green shoot. "Hello, little shoot!"
On day six, there are two small leaves.
On day ten, there is a round green bud.

"Open, bud, open!" says Moro.
"Wait," says Old Snail with a smile. "Wait, wait, wait."

Moro waits. He plays. He sleeps. He waters. He waits.

Then one sunny morning, Moro wakes up. There is a big pink flower!
It smells sweet. A bee comes to say hello. Buzz, buzz, buzz.

"It was worth the wait," says Moro happily.
And he plants another seed.
