Hana and the Running Tap

Hana and the Running Tap

📝 Summary

A short, fully vowelled story for young children about not wasting water.

📖 Story

Hana was washing her hands.
The water was running from the tap: splish, splash, splash.
Hana left the water running and went off to play.
Baba said, "Hana, listen! The water is crying."
Hana said, "The water's crying? Why?"
Baba said, "Because it's going to waste. And the flowers and the birds need it."
Hana ran and quickly turned off the tap.
Then she took a small cup of water and watered the rose on the balcony.
She said, "Now the water is laughing!"
Water is a blessing, so we don't waste it.
